The Nest is located in Franklin Hills, Los Feliz, Los Angeles combining both indoor and outdoor space, offering a weekly class schedule for parents and children of all ages. 

Our classes offer a chance for children to explore mindfulness through art, play, craft, stillness, movement and a lot more.

For parents, our regular sessions remind you of the importance of showing up for yourself to show up for those around you. They are a well deserved time to calm, clear and connect.

At The Happinest we provide a toolbox of emotional awareness tools and internal resources to understand, articulate and to manage the varying degree of emotions, feelings, thoughts and responses a child experiences. Through arts & crafts, sensory play, conversations, role play, movement, meditation and stillness, we aim to provide a supportive environment where children explore a deeper understanding of their relationship to self, others and the world. 

The practice of mindfulness exercises and meditation can offer a tangible and relevant opportunity to shift gears. It is a powerful tool to help regulate stress, help promote calm and present thinking.

On an average day, children often face situations that cause them frustration, stress and discomfort. Circumstances such as social interactions and school & home expectations, transitions and more can cause children to withdraw, become exhausted and manage with unhealthy behaviours as a result.

Often it is not just external sources but internal developments and a natural build up of cortisol (stress hormone) that causes children to react in a behavior that could be co regulated to guide healthy expression.

Using child friendly mindfulness practices taught at The Happinest allow children and their parents and teachers to become more aware and more connected in their responses. This helps with classroom management for teachers and promotes a secure and supportive household.

Charlotte uses practical and responsive mindfulness approaches to address common, and not so common, childhood behaviors.

Through observation and ongoing consultations, Charlotte provides tailored behavior management plans to help navigate childhood behaviors such as defiance, impulsivity, tantrums, hitting, emotional dysregulation, sleep battles and more. By identifying associated emotions and the underlying sources of the behavior, Charlotte provides ongoing sessions, relevant child mindfulness exercises, and practical, impactful responses to make your home and/or school environment a more peaceful and connected place.
